My Artistic Journey

From a young age, I was drawn to the world of art, though my passion often clashed with traditional classroom expectations. While I struggled with still life and academic drawing, I poured my energy into what I truly loved: cartoons and anime-style art. This early focus eventually led me to discover and embrace anthropomorphic art—the depiction of animals with human characteristics—a vibrant style that remains part of my work today.

My artistic journey was interrupted for several years by significant health challenges. During this time, I became fascinated with the world of digital technology, particularly the large, professional drawing tablets. Though these were financially out of reach, my desire to merge my art with digital tools never faded.

Eventually, I acquired an iPad, which became more than just a drawing tool; it was a vital therapeutic boost that allowed me to reignite my creativity. I dedicated myself to learning new digital programs and techniques, constantly drawing inspiration from online communities. Today, I focus my digital work on the woodland animals that inspired my early cartoon sketches, rendering them with newfound depth and detail.

The final piece of my story involves Ochil Crafts. My father began selling his wire trees and other creations at their craft fairs, and I initially went along just to help him. I was so inspired by the warm community and lovely people at Ochil Crafts that I decided to create and sell my own art at the markets. After a while, I joined the Ochil Crafts membership and began selling pieces in the shop. For me, it has never been about the money; the true joy comes from knowing that someone appreciates the time and care I put into my creations and genuinely likes the art I have made.
