With the festive season just around the corner, gather the kids and have some fun with this hands-on project.  This charming reindeer is great fun to make and a fantastic way for kids to learn new skills, enhance their creativity and enjoy some quality family time.  With simple materials and easy-to-follow steps, you’ll soon have a whole herd of wobbly reindeer!

MATERIALS

plastic bottle top

2 shades of brown card

bluetac or playdough

googly eyes (if available)

felt pens, scissors and glue

INSTRUCTIONS

Draw round the bottle top to make two overlapping circles for the reindeer’s body and head.

Cut out the reindeer’s body and head as one piece, a pair of ears from the same card and a pair of antlers from a different coloured card. (An A4 template is available HERE if needed.)

 

Stick the antlers and ears on to the back of the reindeer.

 

Glue or bluetac the bottle top to the back of the reindeer and fill the bottom half of the bottle top with playdough or bluetac.

Glue on googly eyes or draw on eyes and any other details you want.

 

Now wobble your reindeer!

You could try making a snowman in the same way.
